Anger Management Support

Helping Children, Youth, and Families Navigate Big Emotions with Care and Confidence

Anger is a normal human emotion—but when it becomes overwhelming or hard to control, it can disrupt relationships, affect mental health, and create tension at home, in school, or in the community. At Doors of Hope, we help children and teens understand their anger, express it in healthy ways, and develop tools to manage their emotions with confidence.

We believe that behind every angry outburst is a story, a need, or a hurt—and we’re here to listen.

Our Anger Management Services

At Doors of Hope, we don’t shame or punish anger—we guide families in understanding it and working through it together. Our supportive, culturally responsive approach creates a safe space for healing, growth, and emotional regulation.

We offer

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

to help children and teens identify triggers, build coping skills, and increase emotional awareness

COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES

that bring tools and strategies into homes, schools, and community settings

FAMILY COUNSELING

to improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen family relationships

SKILL-BUILDING WORKSHOP

focused on problem-solving, self-soothing, mindfulness, and healthy expression of emotions

Reframing Anger as a Message

We help young people understand that anger isn’t bad—it’s a message. When they learn to listen to that message and respond in healthy ways, they gain not just control over their behavior, but also confidence in who they are.

Let’s Work Through It Together

If your child or teen is struggling with anger, they are not alone—and neither are you.
